Help with the
food drive and pantry
The Unity in the Community Food Drive continues to be a huge success. Each month, we typically collect enough donations to fill about 18 vehicles — all supporting local families in crisis.

This effort takes planning, teamwork, and dedicated volunteers, and right now we could really use extra hands at every level.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:
Each month, community members bring food donations to several Kane County locations. Volunteers load the donations into vehicles, drive them to the food pantry, and then help unload, sort, and stock the items. From there, volunteers assist with preparing food for pickup or delivery to families.
HERE’S WHERE WE NEED HELP:
-
Volunteers to load vehicles
-
Drivers to transport food to the pantry
-
Volunteers to unload, sort, and stock donations
-
Helpers to prepare food for pickup and deliveries
-
Drivers to deliver food directly to families

COORDINATORS:
The pantry is run by amazing volunteers. It has been very successful at supplying families with supplies. The pantry needs more help in coordinating the logistics and are looking for 2–3 people who can help keep the entire process running smoothly.
