STOP THE BOMBING OF GAZA We Can Lead Change
LETTERS TO MEMBERS OF CONGRESS
I WANT TO TELL MY MEMBER OF CONGRESS TO STOP THE BOMBING.
August 7, 2025

Representative Sean Casten
Representative Bill Foster
Representative Raja Kirshnamoothi
Representative Lauren Underwood

Dear Representative:
We are writing to demand that you take immediate action to stop the genocide in Gaza.

The mass, human-made famine. The merciless killing of people waiting in line for food. The bombing of aid workers, journalists, and hospitals. This is not self-defense, it is immoral, a violation of international law, and an affront to our shared humanity. The United States cannot continue to enable this with our silence, our weapons, and our tax dollars.

As you know, We Can Lead Change-Fox Valley is a grassroots movement grounded in the belief that democracy demands more than silence in the face of injustice. We believe in lifting up the voices of the unheard. Today, those voices belong to the people of Gaza — trapped, starving, grieving, and dying under a brutal siege. Children are not collateral damage. They are the future we claim to fight for.

We, as a country, must not continue to fund and arm a military that has killed tens of thousands of civilians and blocked food, water, and medicine from reaching those who need it most. You have the power — and the responsibility — to say: not in our name.
And as our representative who has stood beside us on so many issues, spoken at our rallies and marched beside us in protest, we call on you to stand with us now:

-
Demand an immediate and permanent ceasefire;
-
End all military aid to Netanyahu’s government;
-
Speak out clearly and unequivocally against this moral catastrophe.
The killing must stop. The starvation must stop. The enabling must stop. Please stand with us, your constituents, on the right side of history.

Sincerely,

The We Can Lead Change Steering Committee

We, as a country, must not continue to fund and arm a military that has killed tens of thousands of civilians and blocked food, water, and medicine from reaching those who need it most. Your leadership to block U.S. military aid to Israel shows that you too believe that you must use your power — and the responsibility — to say: not in our name.

The killing must stop. The starvation must stop. The enabling must stop. Thank you from us, your constituents, on your vote and stance - you are on the right side of history.

Sincerely,
