GET MAD
GET LOUD

LAUZEN IS USING
YOUR TAX MONEY
TO CAMPAIGN

Lauzen.jpg

Did you receive this political ad with your recent property tax bill?

Chris Lauzen, current Kane County Treasurer, is running for re-election. He is using your property tax bill as an opportunity for Kane County to pay for the mailing of what is clearly a political ad in support of his re-election efforts.

He used the power of his office to mail his campaign propaganda to approximately 200,000 homes and businesses in Kane County. If he'd had to purchase post card stamps for this effort, it would have cost $122,000. AND, it is unclear who paid to have this propaganda printed!!!

One can make a compelling argument that this represents a misappropriation of public funds. There is certainly NO DOUBT that this is a VIOLATION OF THE PUBLIC TRUST and represents an ETHICAL CONFLICT!

If this makes you justifiably angry, make your voice heard.

Attend the Kane County Board meeting on Tuesday, May 12, at 9:45.

The meeting will take place at the Kane County Government Center, 719 Batavia Ave., Bldg. A, Geneva.

Alternately, feel free to tell him how you feel about this to his face. Mr. Lauzen will be hosting thinly veiled campaign events around Kane County to answer taxpayer questions.
